Always, there is this fear of others falling; each runner watched for kerb-catch feet; the toddler’s buoyant bound with spaceman gait marked for its head-heavy traipse, toe-turn trip; the elderly man on the airport bus moving against the journey’s grain, collapsing to his seat. All of this a world impotent to the fate of drag and pull, the snag of human…
